Top 10 Tips For Hiring A Caretaker

So you need a caretaker for your parent? Or just someone to give you a break every now and then? I'm really happy you are considering this, because it means you can focus on something else for a while. Maybe you want to try this new smoothie recipe? Or maybe a yoga class? I'm glad you are here looking for help, but I'm also really sorry. Because it means someone you love is very sick. And I wish they weren't. And I wish my Mom wasn't. But she is. Very, very sick and we can't take care of her on our own. I count one of my greatest blessings in my life to be that my Mom and Dad worked their butts off their whole lives to save money and that Mom had the luck/timing to get approved for long term care insurance. (See details on what long term care insurance is here.)

So here are some tips. Let me know what you think- and what has worked for you!
